The Functional Consultant – D365 is a part of the Finance systems support team (FSS) Colombo. The focus is to provide company's global finance with application support for Microsoft Dynamics (Dynamics 365). This role will also contribute to the continual service improvement of the Finance Systems Support Function, by leading functional improvements to the D365 systems as to drive consistency, productivity and efficiencies across the company's global finance community.

Requirements:

• Degree in Information Systems or related discipline (Accounting).
• Certification in Dynamics 365 F&O or AX.
• 3+ years’ experience within a finance/systems process role.
• 2+ years’ experience in supporting users as systems support with an ERP system.
• Experience working application support model ideally within the finance domain.
• Experience in at least one D365 implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead D365 functional improvement initiatives based on based on user feedback and gaps identified to design and implement solutions.
• Apply your expertise to implement best practice D365 solutions.
• Develop solutions which fit with business needs.
• Ensure enhancements are assessed to tie back to business benefits.
• Perform D365 system configurations, testing and release management to generate a solution.
• Assist in maintaining the customizations in the Finance ERP and work with our consulting partner on any customization requirements.
• Align new D365 solutions to add value to finance processes as improvements.
• Develop action plans and timeframes to implement.
• Improve data management templates and new workflows.
• Provide training and suitable documentation and guidance with enhancements delivered.
• Use D365 experience to provide Level 2 application support for incidents raised through the Fresh service system and resolve those within the set timelines.
• Lead on specific functions which are identified from incidents such as developing workflows, ad-hoc requests from users, incidents that require a new solution.
• Provide 2nd line support to user queries and reported incidents, maintaining a log of all reported incidents and resolution.
• Upon rectification undertake root cause analysis
• Review future release updates for features and best practice improvements that the company can use.
• Build knowledge about D365 release management in terms of LCS and features.
• Be part of the upgrade testing team.
• Provide proactive monitoring within the D365 system to ensure integrations are working without error.

• Lead key activities for integrating new businesses onto the company D365.
• Configuration or D365 new legal entities.
• Lead data migration as the key SME around: Data review and cleanse in legacy system.
• Determine tools to extract data from legacy systems.
• Data transformation using D365 data management framework templates.
• Complete data loads.
• Follow the data load plan to the project schedule.
• Post load data validation and reconciliation.
• Monitoring, prioritizing, resolving and following-up on data issues within the project.
• Release management for Starship changes to D365 including testing, change management and roll-out.
• Assist with Integration financial variances investigation between source and D365 systems using automated suite of system reconciliations.
• Log technology tickets for defects identified and follow to resolution.
• Provide functional support to end users and the existing Finance Systems Support team to build their knowledge of D365.
• Ad-hoc project related duties as directed.
• Independently manage and deliver outcomes as per assigned tasks.
• Work within a team environment.
