Job Description
Role Summary:
- Designation – Senior Accountant.
- Work hours – 6.30AM to 3.30PM.
- Work calendar – Australian calendar.
- Work arrangement – Hybrid (2 days from office).
Mandatory Requirements:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in Australian Taxation.
- Ability to work as per the hybrid policy, work hours and calendar.
- Freelancers will NOT be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Primarily performing the preparation or review role for the firm including individuals, corporates, trusts, and Self-Managed Superannuation Funds.
- Assistance with managing the total workflow of the firm including weekly workflow meeting, setting deadlines and targets for individual staff, appropriately delegating work, and daily monitoring.
- Taking a leading role in reviewing and supervising junior team members, including day to day work assistance, detailed review feedback, mentorship, career coaching, and general team development.
- Accounting, taxation and business advisory research and technical advice work for clients.
- Assistance with and preparation of business plans, budget, and finance submissions on behalf of clients.
- Assistance with business and corporate advisory services and special projects including due diligence, research, and letters of advice.
- Assisting with employee performance evaluations and appraisals.
- Promoting employee loyalty, satisfaction, and firm culture.
- Assisting with new client engagements including initial meetings, proposal documents and follow-up engagement work.
- Management / improvement of work practices and quality control procedures within the firm in accordance with best practices.
- Assist in the monitoring and delivery of overall client service excellence, including identifying new opportunities from existing and new clients and resolving client concerns or complaints.
- Direct client contact, liaison, and client relationship management.
- Participating in seminars and staff and client training.
- Liaison with government bodies including ATO, ASIC and OSR on client matters and any other reasonable request of the firm.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years’ Australian taxation experience in a consulting role across a mid-tier accounting firm.
- Experience in tax compliance, tax planning, complex group structures and CGT advice and ideally international cross border tax experience.
- Ideally CA/CPA qualified or nearing completion.
- Demonstrated high performance as Senior Accountant.
- Excellent client service skills.
