Responsibilities:
- Lead the company's marketing transformation, developing a new company website for a B2B audience in export markets and managing social media platforms (LinkedIn primarily) to actively engage with potential customers.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive B2B marketing strategy targeting export markets, including but not limited to Maldives, Australia and South Africa as well as Sri Lanka, with a focus on brand awareness, lead generation, and market share growth
- Collaborate with an external agency for the creation and execution of specific marketing materials such as Public Relations materials (press releases, media kits), branding collateral, website, email marketing campaigns, paid advertising campaigns (search engine marketing, social media advertising) and exhibition stalls
- Develop and establish brand guidelines to ensure consistent and professional messaging across all marketing channels.
- Train and guide other team members on marketing practices and strict adherence to established brand guidelines.
- Create and implement a content marketing strategy that positions the company as a thought leader in the flexible packaging industry, leveraging whitepapers, case studies, and industry reports tailored to export markets.
- Be well-versed in the latest marketing trends and automation tools, particularly in managing email campaigns and other automated marketing initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Cross-functional/departmental collaboration with sales, product development and operations departments to drive both internal and external communication of culture, innovation and production capabilities
- Work closely with the sales department to define sales goals and ensure alignment on the quality and relevance of leads generated.
- Identify and plan participation in relevant industry events and trade shows in export markets and Sri Lanka to maximize networking and sales lead generation opportunities.
- Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends, competitor landscape, and customer needs in export markets as well as within Sri Lanka.
- Analyze and report on marketing campaign performance using B2B marketing metrics to track progress towards achieving marketing goals.
- Manage and drive the allocated marketing budget for local and export initiatives, ensuring cost-effective and strategic resource allocation for maximum impact.
- Foster a culture of quality and consistency within the company by developing and implementing innovative internal communication programs targeting company employees to promote employee engagement, recognition programs and Lean Six Sigma implementation.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of B2B marketing principles and strategies, with a demonstrated experience in driving Go-to-market strategies in export markets in the B2B sector.
- Well-versed in compliance and regulations related to marketing, not only in Sri Lanka but also in our targeted international markets or capability to effectively source market information.
- Proven experience in conducting market research and data analysis specifically for export markets.
- Expertise in social media management, content marketing, and SEO best practices in partnership with agencies
- Ability to understand business practices and master cross-cultural communication to manage the company’s brand effectively across different countries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, managing and maintaining all of the company’s marketing-related digital assets
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience in the flexible packaging industry is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
