Job Description
We are looking for a candidate based in Jaffna with own laptop.
Responsibilities:
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger.
- Bring the books to the trial balance stage.
- Perform partial checks of the posting process.
- Complete tax forms.
- Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements.
- Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner.
- Collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Experience in Any Accounting Applications - QuickBooks/ Xero/ MYOB will be an added advantage.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience in Accounting, preferably from an Audit background.
- Degree in Accounting is MUST.
- CA I & II completed is MUST.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office and Excel abilities
- Strong analytical skills
- Good organization, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of data and information
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
