We are a technology solutions provider, which has been a key resource and a trusted technology partner of Government Agencies and Fortune 500 corporations. We serve our clients in solutions development/management in healthcare, transportation, IT, and financial services domains.

We are looking for a qualified Project Manager with 4+ years of experience to join our engineering team in Sri Lanka. Our client is a major government agency in urban mobility and infrastructure management. This organization is at the forefront of developing and maintaining a vast network of roads, bridges, and public transit systems, ensuring efficient and safe travel for the community.

The responsibilities of the Project Manager will include flawless execution of projects. This is a highly skilled position and experience in working with enterprise level solutions is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with internal and external parties for the flawless execution of projects.
• Lead, plan, and manage the delivery of the requirements provided by the Business solution team.
• Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, meeting governance standards within scope.
• Develop technically feasible project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders.
• Formulate and control project budgets.
• Develop detailed project plans to track progress and use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope and schedule.
• Identify roadblocks and risks with the team and actively work on eliminating both, with escalation done as required.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Liaise continuously with the product owner to ensure user stories are clearly defined, estimated, and prioritized, and ensure a daily status is communicated to management and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience as a Project Manager or in a related role
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Business Information Systems or equivalent qualifications related to the field.
• A postgraduate qualification in Business Management, Statistics, Economics or Management Accountancy will be an added advantage.
• Prior experience with agile development processes is a must. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certifications will be highly advantageous.
• Professional certifications such as PMP and PRINCE2 will be an added advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with experience in managing clients.
• Project Management experience in the delivery of complex technical projects using Agile and waterfall methodologies in a fast paced/time critical environment.
• Sound knowledge of risk identification, mitigation, and change management.
• Willingness to work as/when required on USA/ Washington DC linked timing.
