Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with expertise in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) implementation for Roads and Bridge infrastructure. This role will be critical in designing, implementing, and optimizing EAM systems to improve the lifecycle management, maintenance, and performance of transportation assets, including roads, bridges, and associated civil structures.
The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, technical acumen in EAM systems, and extensive experience in managing infrastructure projects. This role requires strong expertise in business process re-engineering, system integration, advanced analytics, and compliance with international standards for infrastructure management. You will work closely with asset managers, civil engineers, IT teams, and regulatory authorities to ensure the successful deployment and long-term success of the EAM solution.
Responsibilities:
- Align EAM implementation with the organization's overall asset management objectives, ensuring cost-effective maintenance and maximizing asset performance.
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including civil engineers, transportation planners, IT teams, and regulatory bodies, to gather and document detailed functional and technical requirements.
- Ensure business processes, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices for roads and bridge infrastructure are accurately translated into system specifications.
- Develop and optimize the system architecture for integrating EAM with other key platforms such as AI, GIS, ERP, IoT, and sensor-based monitoring systems.
- Define and implement data integration strategies to enable real-time monitoring of roads and bridges through sensors and predictive analytics systems.
- Lead business process re-engineering to streamline maintenance workflows, asset inspection, and condition-based monitoring of transportation infrastructure.
- Recommend and implement process automation to eliminate inefficiencies and enhance data quality across road and bridge asset management processes.
- Work closely with data science and analytics teams to implement predictive maintenance models for roads and bridges, enabling early detection of asset degradation and failure.
- Develop advanced KPI dashboards and analytical tools for real-time performance tracking, maintenance scheduling, and risk-based prioritization of infrastructure repairs.
- Ensure that the EAM system is aligned with international standards (ISO 55000) and local regulatory requirements for roads and bridge infrastructure.
- Implement risk management frameworks that prioritize maintenance activities based on asset criticality, condition assessments, and safety regulations.
- Oversee the project lifecycle of the EAM system implementation, including project scoping, budget management, resource allocation, and stakeholder communications.
- Coordinate with technical teams and vendors to ensure successful system configuration, testing, and rollout across the organization.
- Develop comprehensive training programs and change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of the EAM system by end-users, including engineers and asset managers.
- Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), system validation, and post-implementation reviews to ensure that the system meets all business objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering, Asset Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) and/or Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2).
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager in asset management or infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on roads and bridge infrastructure.
- Proven track record of successfully leading EAM or CMMS system implementations, particularly for transportation or large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
- Extensive experience with EAM platforms (IBM Maximo, Infor EAM, SAP PM, IFS EAM) for managing roads, bridges, and related infrastructure assets.
- Knowledge of GIS systems and their integration with EAM platforms for spatial asset tracking and infrastructure management.
- Familiarity with IoT, SCADA, and sensor integration for real-time monitoring of transportation infrastructure conditions.
- Expertise in data analytics, performance monitoring, and the development of predictive maintenance models for civil infrastructure.
- Experience in working with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) to create dashboards that enable data-driven decision-making for asset managers and executives.
- In-depth understanding of infrastructure management standards such as ISO 55000 and transportation regulations relevant to roads and bridges (e.g., AASHTO, FHWA standards).
- Experience in preparing for and ensuring compliance with regulatory audits and safety inspections for transportation assets.
- Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional teams and manage multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects with a focus on value creation and operational efficiency.
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to align system implementation with long-term organizational goals.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across all organizational levels.
- Skilled in leading change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of new systems and processes.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on creating innovative solutions to complex infrastructure challenges.
- Analytical mindset with a proven ability to identify areas for process improvement and optimization within asset management frameworks.
- Experience in managing large-scale transportation infrastructure projects involving roads, bridges, and other critical assets.
- Proficiency in machine learning models for predictive analytics in asset management.
- Experience working with smart infrastructure technologies, including sensors and real-time condition monitoring.
