Job Description
As a Configuration Technician, you will be responsible for the configuration of systems before customers get the systems handed to them. You will be the final step between the installation and delivering a perfectly configured system to the end user without exceptions.
Responsibilities:
- Work systematically through your Configuration Tickets by priority.
- Configure company systems for Video and POS.
- Use your skills to configure the systems in a timely manner with a focus on quality and delivery.
- Document the configuration in Zendesk clearly and concisely.
- Complete QCs.
- Hand off to the customer a perfectly configured system without exception.
- Take incoming calls or make outgoing calls to the onsite technicians and assist remotely.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager in the case of any defective parts, go backs or other items.
- Identify potential process or documentation breaks and report them back to your supervisor for remediation.
- Be self-driven with your workflow, but able to collaborate as part of a team to find common solutions to any problems which may occur.
- Daily management of your tickets.
Requirements:
- Competent in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Good verbal, written, and communication in English.
- Well organized with systematic processes.
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple tasks.
- Good knowledge of network based components.
