Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Ensure best client service is being made available through communication amongst the team.
- Works with sales managers to ensure understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation of this strategy for the segment.
- Works with management team to create and implement a sales plan addressing revenue, customers and the market for the segment led by the department.
- Set example through professional, friendly attitude towards clients.
- Ensure hotel meets or exceeds budgeted goals.
- Utilize company profile database to maintain top and existing travel agent accounts.
- Assists with the development and implementation of promotions, both internal and external.
- Creating a focus on attracting new business.
- Review and approves any special corporate negotiated rates by signing the contract.
- Recommends monthly room nights targets goals for sales team members.
- Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business.
- Oversee and ensure the updating of rates, promotions on hotel websites, OTA's (Online travel agents), etc without any rate parity.
- To report any breach of internal controls, policies and procedures to the Management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
- MBA in reputed university or institute.
- Minimum 1-12 years of experience in the hospitality industry with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior management role.
- Strong leadership, team management and mentoring abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Local relevant market knowledge is a must.
- High degree of ownership, roll-up-your-sleeve attitude and willingness to get task completed.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to structure / negotiate large and complex business deals.
