Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategic direction of engineering initiatives to align with company objectives and drive business growth.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase profitability and expand the company's market presence.
• Oversee engineering project timelines, budgets and quality standards to ensure successful and compliant project completion.
• Direct the cylinder requalification operations for company gas, prioritizing efficiency, safety and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Ensure strict compliance with industry regulations and safety standards, including conducting regular inspections and audits to maintain a safe work environment.
• Develop and manage budgets for engineering projects and departmental operations ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.
• Drive innovation by leading the design and development of advanced engineering solutions that meet both functional and safety standards.
• Mentor and develop a high performing engineering team to foster talent growth and a culture of excellence.
• Promote and integrate sustainable practices across engineering projects to support the company's environmental and sustainability goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or related field).
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
• Minimum 10-12 years of experience in engineering with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior management role.
• Membership in relevant engineering bodies (e.g. IESL, PE) is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of engineering project management, design principles and industry standards.
• Developing a business development strategy focused on financial gain.
• Excellent understanding of regulatory and safety standards, particularly in the gas and energy sector.
• Proven expertise in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
• Proficient in engineering software tools, AutoCAD SAP, and project management tools.
• Strong leadership, team management and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
