Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Supervise shipment discharging operations, including the transfer of materials from jetty to yard and yard to plant.
• Ensure efficient and timely unloading of materials while maintaining quality standards.
• Monitor the operational condition of dedusting hoppers installed at ports.
• Work with suppliers to ensure regular maintenance and availability of hoppers.
• Liaise with port authorities, customs officials, environmental agencies, BOI, and other government representatives to facilitate smooth operations.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements during procurement and shipment processes.
• Uphold company safety guidelines and ensure contractors adhere to them during operations.
• Guide contractors on operational standards and address performance issues promptly.
• Address and manage additional tasks at the port or yard, including civil, mechanical, and electrical requirements.
• Take proactive measures to anticipate and resolve operational challenges.
• Be prepared to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays based on shipment schedules.
• Ensure readiness to handle emergency situations and unplanned operational demands.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in port operations, logistics, or Mechanical
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams and contractors effectively.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and work under pressure.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines and standards in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
