Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed MEP system designs, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Utilize AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other design software for 2D/3D modeling and documentation.
- Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to integrate MEP designs with overall building plans.
- Ensure proper coordination between mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to avoid conflicts.
- Ensure designs adhere to local building codes, international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, IPC, etc.), and project specifications.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with industry best practices.
- Perform HVAC load calculations, duct sizing, and equipment selection.
- Assist in electrical load calculations, panel sizing, and lighting design.
- Design efficient plumbing and drainage systems.
- Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), specifications, and material selection reports.
- Assist in preparing technical reports and design justifications.
- Provide design clarifications to site teams during execution.
- Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs (Requests for Information).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or a related field).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other design software.
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing system design.
- Understanding of international codes (ASHRAE, NEC, IPC, NFPA, etc.).
- Experience working on commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under deadlines.
