Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and implement MEP designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure MEP systems comply with project requirements, codes, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP systems seamlessly.
- Evaluate and select appropriate materials, equipment, and technology for MEP installations.
- Supervise and manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for smooth execution.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design, safety, and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve MEP-related technical issues on-site.
- Ensure MEP installations comply with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Implement quality control procedures and conduct inspections to maintain high standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to workplace safety regulations.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, drawings, specifications, and progress updates.
- Review and approve MEP-related shop drawings and submittals.
- Monitor project budgets and timelines, ensuring cost-effective and timely completion.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience as an MEP Engineer in construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other relevant design software.
- Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Strong project management and coordination skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Professional certification (e.g., LEED, PMP, or MEP-related credentials) is a plus.
