Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare accurate project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
- Tendering & Bidding: Analyze project requirements, prepare tender documents, and evaluate contractor bids.
- Contract Administration: Manage contracts, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Measurement & BOQ Preparation: Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and conduct material take-offs.
- Cost Control & Reporting: Monitor project costs, track variations, and generate cost reports.
- Vendor & Supplier Management: Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and procurement teams to ensure cost efficiency.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential financial and contractual risks and suggest mitigation strategies.
- Valuation & Payments: Assess contractor work progress, certify interim and final payments.
- Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, CostX, Primavera, or other QS software.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and contracts (FIDIC, JCT, NEC, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
