We are a 5-star hotel located at Dhiffushi. A local island close to the International Airport, which can be reached within 45 minutes via speedboat or within 2 hours by ferry. A one-of-a-kind island beach hotel with an infinity pool, roof top restaurant, inhouse wellness & spa center, Kid’s Club, Water sports & dive center and a sunset beach. A brand which has been crafted and designed to provide a unique Maldivian cultural experience.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial transactions to ensure the accuracy of income, expenses, and investments.
• Manage cash flow by preparing statements, budgets, and tax plans to maintain financial stability.
• Develop and enforce financial policies that enhance operational efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports periodically to inform and guide strategic decision making.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including receipts, invoices, and accounts payable/receivable.
• Supervise the finance team, ensuring adherence to financial policies and data accuracy.
• Monitor daily hotel revenue and bank transactions, promptly addressing any discrepancies.
• Perform financial analysis to identify cost-reduction opportunities and drive profitability.
• Assist in financial audits, ensuring full compliance and addressing identified issues.
• Perform regular internal audits of all departments and report findings to supervisor.

Requirements:

• Diploma qualification.
• Minimum two years of work experience in a similar role in a hotel finance department.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Working knowledge of computer software like MS Excel, Opera, and Micros would be an added advantage.
• Good financial analytic skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Communication fluently in both verbal & Written English.
