Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Architectural BIM Modeler cum Draftsman with a minimum of 5 years of experience in interior fitout projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in 3Dmodeling, drafting, and managing architectural designs for interior spaces using BIM software such as Revit and AutoCAD. This role requires a deep understanding of interior fitout processes, coordination with multi-disciplinary teams, and producing accurate construction drawings and models.

Responsibilities:

• Create and modify detailed architectural 3D models and 2D drawings for interior fitout projects using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Ensure accurate representation of architectural elements such as walls, flooring, ceilings, partitions, doors, windows, and finishes in the BIM model.
• Draft detailed layout plans, elevations, sections, and details to meet project requirements and specifications.
• Produce and update detailed architectural drawings and as-built documents in line with the design intent.
• Work closely with designers, architects, and engineers to develop interior fitout plans, incorporating all architectural, structural, MEP, and other relevant disciplines.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure integration and alignment of the interior design with the overall architectural design.
• Assist in the preparation of construction documentation, including specifications, schedules, and materials.
• Use BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks) to facilitate effective coordination across disciplines, ensuring that the interior fitout design is well-integrated with the building’s overall architecture.
• Conduct clash detection and resolve conflicts between architectural elements and other systems (MEP, structural, etc.).
• Prepare and review BIM models to ensure that they adhere to project timelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain model integrity by ensuring that all design models and drawings meet the company’s BIM standards, design guidelines, and client specifications.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency across all project documents and models, following the project’s established quality control procedures.
• Continuously update and manage the BIM model to reflect any changes or revisions throughout the design and construction phases.
• Generate and update interior fitout drawings, specifications, schedules, and construction details.
• Assist in the creation of technical documentation, including material take-offs and project reports.
• Maintain up-to-date project records and ensure the timely submission of deliverables.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to understand project requirements and provide technical support for design and implementation.
• Participate in project meetings, providing input on design, technical challenges, and BIM-related issues.
• Respond to design queries and provide solutions to challenges related to interior fitout design.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior BIM Modelers and draftsmen.
• Stay updated on the latest BIM software tools and techniques, and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal workflows and processes.
• Support the project team with technical knowledge, resolving BIM-related issues during the course of the project.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural drafting and BIM modeling, specifically in interior fitout projects.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other relevant BIM software.
• Strong understanding of interior fitout processes, including knowledge of finishes, joinery, and space planning.
• Experience in developing high-quality 2D and 3D drawings, including detailed architectural details.
• Good understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations related to interior fitout and architecture.
• Experience in BIM coordination, clash detection, and multi-disciplinary project collaboration.
• Strong problem-solving and technical skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Knowledge of 3D rendering software (e.g., Enscape, Lumion) for visualizing interior spaces.
• Experience in handling large-scale interior fitout projects, especially in commercial, residential, or hospitality sectors.
• Familiarity with BIM 360 or cloud-based collaboration tools.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• BIM Certification or training in relevant software will be an added advantage.
