Job Description
We are looking for a service-minded System Engineer to become a part of NOC support team with design, deploy and maintain the systems and cloud Services. At the same time achieve the maximum level of end user satisfaction by giving a smooth, efficient, and reliable service.
You will be a part of our NOC support team. Daily work includes fulfilling operational tasks to ensure good performance and stability in our Network and systems. You will be working on new projects from design stage to implementation and operation.
Objectives of this Role:
- Manage and monitor all Network monitoring infrastructure and cloud systems installations, including configuration, testing, and maintenance.
- Implement and maintain strategies for backup, security, and redundancy.
- Identify potential issues and implement solutions proactively.
- Craft custom scripts that reduce the need for human interaction.
Responsibilities:
- Support both on-premises and cloud server infrastructure and support the increase in cloud adoption for the company.
- Support ongoing and new Cloud projects including the design, build and operation of infrastructure.
- Strong interest in automation and automated recurring tasks, regular operational activities, infrastructure monitoring, standard processes etc.
- Conduct high-level root-cause analysis of service interruptions and establish preventive measures.
- Provide on-call emergency support when required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in technology or computer science
- Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience.
- Professional certification in cloud technology, Linux systems, and system administration.
Must Have Skills:
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies, including XCP-ng, Citrix, and cloud technologies (VMware, OpenStack, AWS), for managing and optimizing both on-premises and cloud-based virtualized infrastructures.
- Strong experience in troubleshooting on-premises servers, including hardware and software issues, and ensuring seamless integration with cloud systems.
- Proficiency in storage solutions (SAN, NAS, RAID) and cloud storage, ensuring high availability and redundancy.
- Knowledge of Linux, programming languages (Python, Perl, Bash), recovery procedures, and performance monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with network routers, switches, and firewalls for managing and securing network infrastructure.
Optional Skills:
- Familiarity with Git or other version-control software.
- Interest in containerization and orchestration, with hands-on experience or a desire to work with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices to automate deployment and testing processes.
