Job Description
As an Accountant, you will play a key role in providing high-quality taxation and accounting services to our diverse client base while being provided the opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and complete annual accounts for trusts, companies, and partnerships.
- Handling tax returns for individuals, trusts, companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
- Managing GST, Business Activity Statements, and Instalment Activity statements.
- Calculating CGT and Div 7A and providing valuable advice to clients.
- Support clients with various non-tax related business and company compliance.
- Bookkeeping, where applicable.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting / finance or ideally qualified in ACCA / CIMA / CA / CPA.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in public practice, preparing annual accounts, and tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Advanced understanding of the Corporations Act, relevant accounting standards, tax legislation, and other related research.
- Experience in preparing financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, and individuals, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and completion.
- Extensive knowledge of taxation legislation.
- Detailed knowledge of tax office correspondence and procedures.
- Excellent time management and work prioritization skills.
- Willingness to contribute to internal process improvement.
