Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file individual income tax returns in accordance with Sri Lankan tax laws.
- Analyze income sources including employment, business, invesment and other income as defined under the Inland Revenue Act.
- Apply personal reliefs and deductions as per current regulations.
- Ensure compliance with quarterly installment payments and self-assessment tax obligations.
- Stay updated with amendments to the Inland Revenue Act and communication changes to clients.
- Prepare and file VAT, PAYE, WHT and SSCL returns in compliance with IRD regulations.
- Ensure timely tax payments and maintain proper documentation.
- Assist clients in responding to tax notices, audits and assessments.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all tax fillings and client communications.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery.
Requirements:
- Following a professional qualification in CA/CIMA or ACCA.
- 1-3 years of experience in Sri Lankan individual tax filing or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of the Inland Revenue Act and its amendments.
- Familiarity with IRD e-filing systems and tax software.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- High attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and meet strict deadlines.
