Job Description
We are looking for an Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team supporting UK-based clients. This role involves managing end-to-end accounting processes, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards, and delivering high-quality client service in a fast-paced BPO environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
- Fulfill bookkeeping requirements as and when needed.
- Process payroll in compliance with HMRC requirements.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, PAYE and other HMRC filings.
- Prepare and review balance sheet and P&L.
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with UK taxation laws and guidelines.
- Assist with internal/external audits and compliance requirements.
- Communicate effectively with clients via email, calls and meetings to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold client confidentiality.
- Identify process improvements and support automation/efficiency initiatives.
- Ability to understand client and jurisdiction requirements and conform to them for all deliverables.
- Analyze the MI data collated by the team on regular basis to detect trends and suggesting improvisations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
- Full/ Partial qualification in CIMA/ACCA.
- 3 - 4 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to UK accounts.
- Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with client-facing experience.
- Ability to work accurately under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using numerous online platforms for research outreach.
- Ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision.
- A team player with a can do attitude.
