Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Assistant on behalf of our client, to support their Procurement Manager in managing the full spectrum of supply chain and purchasing operations. This role will assist in ensuring timely procurement of materials, smooth coordination with suppliers, and accurate handling of related documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Procurement Manager in day-to-day purchasing and logistics activities.
- Assist in managing MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and ensure timely ordering of materials.
- Coordinate Import and Export documentation, monitoring and updating shipments and handling customs clearance.
- Prepare and maintain purchase orders, supplier quotations, and costing sheets.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of suppliers, pricing, and inventory status.
- Support cost analysis and other supply chain reporting as required.
- Collaborate with internal departments including Finance, Operations, and R&D to ensure smooth workflow.
- Provide assistance to the Finance team when required.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar role (manufacturing & trading environment preferred).
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP Byd knowledge is an advantage).
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision.
