As a Technician within our client's Manufacturing Technical department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficiency and reliability of their production operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a global leader in tobacco processing by ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment. Your expertise will directly impact product quality, operational safety, and overall manufacturing performance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and maintain optimal functioning.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults, utilizing problem-solving skills to swiftly identify issues and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality control, and production departments to support continuous improvement initiatives and uphold manufacturing standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and parts inventories, utilizing company systems and documentation protocols.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
• Participate in training programs and development activities to continuously enhance technical skills and stay updated on emerging technologies relevant to manufacturing processes.
• Contribute to troubleshooting efforts during process disruptions and emergency situations, offering technical expertise to restore operations promptly.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a technical role within a manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Strong understanding of machinery operation, maintenance procedures, and safety standards applicable to industrial manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the capacity to work under pressure to resolve urgent equipment issues.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and report technical information clearly.
