Job Description
As a Cybersecurity & Privacy Protection Officer, you would be responsible for managing cybersecurity and privacy protection operations within our client's representative office or country.
Responsibilities:
- Leading cybersecurity and privacy protection operations within the assigned region or country.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable local laws, regulations, and industry standards related to cybersecurity and data privacy.
- Establishing and continuously improving security and privacy governance frameworks, policies, and processes.
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating cybersecurity and privacy risks across business operations, including ICT, cloud, digital energy, and consumer domains.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities, industry bodies, and customers on security and privacy matters.
- Representing the organization as a trusted spokesperson in external engagements, including regulatory discussions, industry forums, and customer interactions.
- Building and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with government agencies, regulators, and key stakeholders.
- Driving internal capability development through security awareness, training programs, and best practices.
- Coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of cybersecurity and privacy initiatives.
- Supporting business growth by embedding security and privacy requirements into products, solutions, and project delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Law, or a related field.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity and/or data privacy within large enterprises or regulatory bodies in the ICT industry.
- Strong knowledge of local cybersecurity and privacy regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with government authorities, regulators, customers, and industry organizations.
- Established industry presence and professional network in cybersecurity and privacy domains.
- Experience in managing security and privacy risks within business environments.
- Experience in leading teams and managing cross-functional or cross-cultural environments is preferred
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or IAPP (e.g., CIPP, CIPM) is preferred.
- Experience representing organizations in external forums, conferences, or public engagements is preferred.
