Job Description
The Assistant Manager of Operations will be responsible for overseeing and streamlining the end-to-end execution of both inbound and outbound travel services. This role focuses on service excellence, vendor management, and operational efficiency to ensure seamless travel experiences for all clients.
Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations for inbound tours and outbound travel packages, ensuring all bookings, itineraries, and logistics are executed accurately.
- Vendor & Partner Relations: Manage relationships with hotels, transport providers, and overseas agents to negotiate competitive rates and ensure high service standards.
- Team Leadership: Support and guide the operations team in handling complex bookings, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining quality control.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement workflows to improve efficiency in the reservation and execution phases.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure all travel arrangements adhere to company policies, safety standards, and local/international regulations.
Requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience specifically in inbound and outbound travel operations is mandatory.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Sri Lankan tourism landscape (Inbound) and global destination management (Outbound).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and travel management software.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: A professional qualification or degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
