Job Description
The Manager of Business Development will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new market opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and expanding the client base for both inbound and outbound travel sectors. This is a high-impact role focused on market penetration and brand positioning.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Growth: Develop and execute comprehensive business development plans to achieve sales targets and increase market share in the inbound and outbound travel segments.
- Partnership Management: Identify and secure corporate clients, foreign tour operators (for Inbound), and local sub-agents (for Outbound) to build a robust B2B network.
- Product Innovation: Collaborate with the operations team to develop unique, competitive travel products and "niche" experiences that differentiate the brand in the market.
- Market Analysis: Monitor global and local travel trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to stay ahead of industry shifts.
- Marketing & Promotion: Represent the company at international travel fairs (e.g., ITB, WTM), networking events, and digital marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility.
- Sales Leadership: Lead the sales funnel from lead generation and pitching to contract negotiation and closing.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in business development or sales within the travel and tourism industry, with a proven track record of meeting revenue targets.
- Network: An existing network of international tour operators and corporate accounts is highly desirable.
- Skills: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Must be a self-starter with a strategic mindset.
- Communication: Fluent in English (written and verbal); proficiency in additional foreign languages is a major asset for inbound market expansion.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or Tourism. An MBA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
